easter weekend at the homestead.

After camping at the Kenilworth Homstead last year, we knew it would be the perfect place to spend our Easter long weekend this year. Some of our friends had spent Easter there the previous year and raved about how great it was - and they weren't lying!

I wish I had gotten more pictures, but here are few I took with my iphone (lame, I know!). Because it was a huge camping weekend, the organizers had set up TONS and TONS of events for all of the families and kids. While Lachlan was a big young for most of them, it was still fun to just be around all of the activity. It also gave Lachlan and I something to check out while Max went motorbike riding with the boys one of the days.

Lachlan rode his first horse (wasn't a fan, btw) and got to hold a baby duck on Easter morning!

Other activities they had scheduled for the weekend included a carnival, rock climbing wall, laser tag, face painting, petting zoo, horseback riding, nightly concerts, swimming in the river, easter egg hunt and plenty more I am sure I am forgetting.

There were hundreds of people there but it was so well planned and organized that it didn't feel over crowded at all.

We had such a great weekend and are really looking forward to heading back there again next year!
