Yes. I know. This sucks. Moving on.
Some random things to share....
1. I am not usually one to spend a lot of money on cards but have you ever seen this brand of greeting card?

I have gotten a few over the last couple of months and they have to be some of the cutest I cards have ever seen!
These three are all baby or pregnancy related, but I need to find out where they sell them so I can go and look at them all.

Because, honestly, how cute are they?!?!

2. I randomly ran in to this website while searching the question, "Where can I buy crescent rolls in Australia?" It is a forum for Americans who live in Australia... and turns out, I am not the only one who was wondering about the lack of crescent rolls in this country- haha.

I also can't buy cool whip, Pillsbury cinnamon rolls or ranch dip mix (just to name a few). And if you were wondering where this weird list of items I have come to realise I can't but here comes from- well, you can thank Pinterest for that because nearly every single easy, fun and yummy sounding recipe involves these ingredients. Damn.

3. Recent-ish thrift shop finds:
Lachlan's first camping chair- $3! Yes, I know he won't actually be able to use this for a year.... or two, but who can pass up a $3 baby camping chair?? Apparently not me :)

This cool glass bottle. Still not sure what I am going to use it for exactly... but I loved it.
And these tea and sugar containers that just happen to be perfect for holding flowers and fresh herbs!

I loved the colours and they look great on our kitchen bench, thank you.

4. And finally, a whole heap of freshly grown and picked tomatoes and herbs appeared at our house on Saturday (thank you Peggy!) so I decided to make a nice tomato salad last night.

Yum!

Well, I guess that is all for now. I am declaring now that tomorrow I shall be healed and back to work.... for 9 days until my maternity leaves starts that is :)
Peace.
I feel the same way about cards but Papyrus cards are really awesome. That is so strange to me that you don't have those random grocery items. I wonder why!?
ReplyDeleteYes, and that is just the beginning of the list!! I have had to learn all new things when it comes to grocery shopping since living here!
DeleteI can relate, my first trimester I had glandular fever confirmed the day after the pregnancy, two bouts of gasto in three weeks, the flu and a round of tonsilitis. I'm now most of the way through the second trimester and have been feeling heaps better for a few weeks finally!!
ReplyDeleteHope some lemon and honey in hot water helps a bit. Our immune system apparently takes a beating whilst we are pregnant and my GP said with a toddler in the house illness is almost inevitable (that made me feel so much better!!!)
I love the thrifty finds, the colour on the tea and sugar pots are gorgeous and now I want a tomato salad!
Sending you wishes of a speedy recovery.
OMG you make my flu sound like nothing!! I am so glad you are feeling better now. The second trimester was definitely the best for me and I hope it is for you too!
