random wednesday.

Random thoughts Wednesday:

1. Why do we say, "half AN hour"?  Isn't the rule to use AN before a word that starts with a vowel??  An apple... An opportunity... But try and say "half A hour".  Sounds stupid right?!

2. The other day I bought a shampoo twin pack assuming that the twin pack would come with one shampoo and one conditioner. It wasn't until I was in the shower trying to use the "conditioner" that I realised it was two shampoos... However, my husband walked all the way down to the shops with his phone and wallet only to realise when he got there that he actually had his phone and a digital camera with him. Unfortunately for him, our grocery store only takes real money, not used electrical goods. See- I am not the only one in our house with baby brain!

3. When people become stepmothers they should be given a manual. Some days I think I am so on top of this lets join two families together thing and other days I feel like I have no idea. Maybe I should look for a stepmom support group. Those do exist, right?

4. I have 3.5 more weeks of work before I start maternity leave (20 days to be exact) but who's counting anyway?? :)

5. Byron's 16th birthday is just around the corner and I have to admit I am just a little excited about it!! I can't remember my 16th birthday exactly, but I know it is a big one because he will finally get his learners driver's licence (L's as they say over here) which is just one step closer to total freedom in the life of a teenager.  I am super excited for him!!!

6. I've gotten a few Facebook messages and emails lately with some questions you have. I am going to do a few posts to answer these questions in the coming weeks so if you have anything specific you have been dying to ask, send 'em on through and I'll try my best to answer them as well.

Well, I guess that is all for now. Happy Hump Day Friends!

  1. Good ? #1 is so true. Never thought about that.

  2. The "h" in hour is silent so you treat it as if it starts with a vowel, and use "an" before it :)

I would love to know more about your photoshop skills - like how you make collages etc! I'm slowly learning but at the rate I'm going I may never finish this photo book I've started.

    1. Ahhh thanks For clearing that one up Lisa. I guess that makes sense really!

I don't have make skills when it comes to photoshop but ill do my best to put something together for you :)
