1. Who put the balloons in the box at your gender reveal party?
Before we began our last ultrasound, we told the technician that we didn't want to see the baby's gender and asked if she would write it down and give it to us instead. She was super nice about it and did just as we asked. Right after the ultrasound, we went over the Spotlight (a store that does balloons) with our GIANT box and explained our idea to the guy working behind the counter. After making sure we were VERY clear about not wanting to see the balloons, we handed over the sealed envelope and went on our way. That night, just before for the store closed, we went back and picked up our secret box 'o' balloons. Our only oversight… we never did see what was actually written on that piece of paper so we are just hoping that man behind the balloon counter isn’t playing a very cruel trick on us!
2. Are you having any weird cravings?
I have to admit, I was a bit of a weird eater before I was pregnant so to say that I am having "weird" cravings now isn't exactly true. Cheese, apple sauce and three pickles wasn't unusual before so I guess it can't be described as an unusual craving for me now. That being said, I do find that I am eating a lot of the same things over and over again. For example, about 3-4 mornings a week I stop at the cafe at the end of our street for a toasted ham and cheese croissant and a can of coke. It is like I just can't get my day started without this warm toasty sandwich and "morning coffee". I have tried making them at home before I leave for work, but it just isn't the same. Last Monday when they started asking me if I wanted "the usual" I decided it was time I explained to them that I was pregnant and we all agreed that after this baby was born I would probably never want to see another toasted ham and cheese croissant again, haha!
3. Are those pictures you posted on house shopping real?
Yes, they are real pictures of real houses for real amounts of money that are for sale in our area! We didn’t actually these particular houses in person (I think you can understand why), but they were just a few of my favourites from searches online.
4. And this last one is not a question but something I wanted to share. I just got this book in the mail and can't WAIT to read it. I originally started following Kelle's blog because of her photography (her pictures are amazing!) but quickly fell in love with everything about her. Her style. Her girls. Her optimism. Her story. Yeah- she is just awesome. Her book, Bloom, came out a few months ago and I have been waiting to get it. As soon as I am done with it (in like 3 days probably) I'll let you know my thoughts. Although, I can already tell you I am going to love it, hehe.
If you aren't reading her blog already, I would suggest you do. And if you do, start here with the story of the birth of her daughter. But be careful though... it will probably make you cry.
ps. this is her first book ever published and it made it to the New York Times best seller list. Just sayin'
Okay- that is all for now. Toodles!
