Max and I arrived late Friday night and checked in to our hotel. I had booked online which means we weren't really sure what we were going to get. Sometimes you get lucky and those deals turn out great.... some times not. This place, however was niccce. Two bathrooms, two bedrooms, ocean views, large kitchen, spa, RIGHT ON THE BEACH... nice.

When we woke up on Saturday it was not looking so great. The weather wasn't really working in our favour but we decided not to let that stop us from enjoying ourselves and went on a walk anyway.

This is what the outside of our place looked like... cool hey!?

Even though it was rainy and grey, that didn't seem to stop anyone from enjoying the water.

After a quick bite to eat, we sun screened up and headed for the beach.

Although the surf was not all that good- the sun came out for a few hours and we had a great time playing in the waves.

See- sunshine!

[Sarah and Andrew]
This was Sarah and Andy's first weekend away in almost a YEAR... can you believe it!

[surfer girl Sarah]

The first ride of the day- I love this one!

While there weren't any stellar performances from me on the board, we were having a good time soaking up the beach.

L-O-V-E the beach!

And then Andrew showed us all how it is really done. Unlike Sarah and I, Andrew catches real waves, not just white water- hehe.

If you have ever been surfing or tried surfing before, you know it can be pretty exhausting. And although most people would probably avoid this kind of activity the day before a triathlon- Sarah and I are that
Now how did the race go?? More to come on that later :)
