happy birthday, you old man.

On the 26th of July we celebrated Max's birthday with homemade ice cream cake and his favourite meal... meat and veggies.

This is the front of the card Byron made for his Dad, lol.

Our favourite part was the cartoon on the bottom...

I always seem to run across random birthday candles in the house, but of course when you need them they are nowhere to be found.
So, two tea lights it was, haha!

Max and I bought a big Land Cruiser last week for his four-wheel driving adventures. When I saw this book, I just couldn't resist. It is called "Dirty Weekends" and lists all of the places in southeast Queensland where you can go four-wheel driving.

Showing off his ice cream cake... don't say we don't raise 'em without manners, haha.

More presents... or presies as they say in Oz.

Midweek birthday celebrations are always tricky.  You come home from a long day of work (and beach volleyball in our case) and quickly celebrate what is actually a very important day. Luckily we had a huge weekend planned to celebrate in real Max style. But for now, a home cooked meal and ice cream cake will have to do :)

Happy Birthday to my beautiful husband.  I love you!
