and go gators.

After we visited Boston for baby Jack's birthday, after we hung out with the Gildeas and after we celebrated Chanteal and Aaron's wedding.... we finally made it to Gainesville!  I was so excited to  show Max the place where I spent some of the most fun and crazy years of my life.  Not only did I get an education there (I think??) I met some of the most amazing friends.  Max has met all of the friends and now finally gets to see the place where it all happened... and GO GATORS!

We spent an entire day on a campus tour led by none other than myself :) I figured after six years at UF I was as qualified as anyone to give this tour.  We started at my sorority house, Pi Beta Phi.  We even got to go inside so Max could see room 6 where Jen, Carrie, Erin and I shared a closet-sized room for an entire year (good times Doves!).

My freshman year dorm where I shared a room with my best friend Ginny.

We ended the weekend with night out at Swamp.
This was the end of the night as Max and James carried each other home.

A special thanks to Mere and James for letting us stay at their house on this leg of our Tour de Florida!

and another bites the dust.

Max and I went to Tampa for Chanteal and Aaron's wedding during our last trip to the US in May.  Chanteal is a close friend of mine from my good ol' college days at Florida.  There are 13 girls in our group of friends (better known as IPPL) and Chanteal is the 4th one to get married.

The typical IPPL photo before the wedding.

Newlyweds :) James and Mere got married in March.
Max and I weren't able to be there, but it looked like a beautiful wedding and an amazing day!

We had an AMAZING time in Tampa, spending time with friends and celebrating this beautiful couple.  Many thanks Chan and Murph for inviting us to celebrate with you.

pool time with the gildeas.

Erin was the first person I met when I moved away to college.  We met during rush and ended up joining the same sorority. I was there when she met her husband and by her side the day she married him.

A year and a half ago Erin and Steve had their first son, Thomas.  Although I have seen Erin and Steve in many roles throughout the years of our friendship, parenthood seems to suit them the best.

We got to spend a few hours at the pool with the Gildeas on Saturday before Chanteal's wedding that night.  It was so great to see Thomas for a little while before the wedding festivities began.

baby jack and his first birthday.

On our last trip to the US, Max and I spent a short 36 hours in Boston celebrating my baby nephew's first birthday.  Isn't be BEAUTIFUL!?

Make Way for Ducklings is a popular children's book written in 1941 that tells a story of two mallard ducks who decide to raise their family in a lagoon in the  middle of the Boston Public Gardens.  In honor of this lovely story, bronze statues of these characters were placed in the gardens.

In order to establish some kind of measure for Jack's first year of life, Jenny and Dave decided to take Jack to the ducks (come rain, hail or shine... or snow) for his picture each month.  Below is his 12 month picture with the baby ducks.

Jack's very first cupcake.  He loved it!

*I used a Canon Rebel T2i with 50mm lens to take all of the pictures above.  As this is my first post, I did very little editing on these images to  keep a natural look - and because I have no idea what I am doing yet, haha*
